EID Selected for Major Massachusetts General Hospital Cambridge Street Project

Massachusetts General Hospital Phillip and Susan Ragon Building

Elevator Interior Design (EID) has been awarded a major contract to design and manufacture over 30 elevator cabs for the first tower of the Massachusetts General Hospital Cambridge Street project in collaboration with industry leaders Otis Elevator, NBBJ Architects, and VDA Elevator Consulting.

The project showcases EID's innovative approach to healthcare facility design, combining elegance with practicality. Each elevator interior features antimicrobial materials that facilitate thorough cleaning and disinfection—a critical consideration for modern healthcare environments.

"This partnership represents our commitment to creating elevator spaces that aren't just visually appealing, but also meet the rigorous demands of a world-class medical facility," said John Antonellis at EID. "By incorporating antimicrobial materials and durable finishes, we're helping Mass General Hospital maintain the highest standards of safety and cleanliness for their patients, staff, and visitors."

The project highlights EID's growing presence in healthcare facility design, where the company continues to set new standards for combining aesthetic excellence with practical functionality
